Hansi is an AI assistant: a chat in which a language model answers on behalf of your property. He works with what is in HANS, meaning your offer, your rooms and rate plans, plus your website and the texts you write for him. What HANS cannot back up, he does not say.
He answers in the chat of your offers.
Every offer from HANS reaches the guest as its own page with rooms, prices and payment. That page has a chat, and that is where Hansi answers. He knows exactly this offer: dates, options, services, deposit and cancellation terms.
Most questions come up at the moment the guest is deciding whether to accept. Someone who waits until the next morning for an answer has often booked elsewhere by then.
And on your website.
On your website, Hansi sits as a small bubble in the corner. One click opens the chat, and he answers questions about rooms, available dates and your property with the same live prices as in the offer. If the guest wants to enquire, Hansi pre-fills the enquiry form with dates and guests. The guest adds their name and e-mail themselves.
Until then the conversation stays anonymous. Once the guest leaves their contact details, it appears in your correspondence with the full history and continues with your team in the same window.
He checks free rooms and prices live.
If the guest wants to arrive a day later or take a larger room, Hansi asks HANS whether it is free and what the stay costs. If the requested dates are taken, he suggests free periods nearby, each with its price.
The figures come from the same rate plans and occupancy rules your booking widget uses. Rooms you have hidden are never mentioned.
No amount without proof.
Before an answer reaches the guest, HANS checks every amount and every date in it. If a figure does not come from a lookup in this conversation, the answer is discarded. Hansi gets a second attempt; after that, your team takes over.
Language models like to invent numbers that sound plausible. With a room rate that would be expensive, so HANS checks for itself here.
Discount, complaint, group: your team decides.
When a guest asks for a discount, complains, sends a group enquiry, or asks about payment or changing a booking, Hansi does not answer himself. He tells the guest the team will get back to them and puts the conversation in your inbox with a short summary.
You hear about it the same way you hear about any new guest message. Topics that should always come to you, such as weddings or dogs, you add yourself. Hansi never promises the guest a response time.
Your team has the last word.
In the inbox you see every answer from Hansi, clearly marked. One click on “Take over” and he stays silent in that conversation until you bring him back.
When someone from your team writes to the guest, Hansi holds back on his own, for half an hour by default. You set the duration.
He reads your website and your PDFs.
Enter your website address and Hansi reads your pages himself, plus PDFs such as your brochure or spa menu. You see page by page what he knows from them and can exclude individual pages. He re-reads regularly, weekly or at your own pace. Whatever is on no page, you write down for him in short texts.
He never quotes amounts or discounts from your website, because prices on websites go out of date. Room rates and available dates he asks HANS for every single time. Once your team has answered a question he handed over, you adopt the answer as knowledge with one click.
Hansi, a name of your own, or plain.
Guests see Hansi, the house ghost. You can give him a name of your own or let him answer without the figure. Greeting and tone are yours to set as well, factual or warm. He answers in the language the guest writes in.
Whatever he is called, the chat header and each of his messages say “AI assistant”. Your guests always know they are writing to an AI, as the EU AI Act requires.

Try first, switch on later.
In the test chat you ask Hansi your guests' questions about a real offer from your property. You see which lookups he made and where every figure comes from.
Test chats do not count towards the quota. Hansi only answers guests once you switch him on in the settings.
Test chat
not counted towards quotaOne quota for offer and website.
Conversations on the offer page and on your website count towards the same monthly quota. If it is not enough, you add a package. Once it is used up, guests write directly to your team as before.
Frequently asked questions.
- Can Hansi accept bookings or change prices?
- No. He reserves nothing, changes no offer and never promises that a room is being held for the guest. He reports free rooms as they are at the moment of the question. Commitments come from your team.
- What does the AI assistant cost?
- Hansi is an add-on module; the price is on request. It depends on the number of conversations per month: a quota is included, and further packages can be added when needed. Once the quota is used up, guests write straight to your team as before.
- Where are the conversations processed?
- The language model runs exclusively in data centres in the EU, via a paid access whose data is not used for training. Conversation history and house knowledge stay in HANS. Anonymous conversations from your website are deleted after 90 days.
- Can the AI assistant be used in line with the GDPR?
- Yes. The AI service is a sub-processor under the data processing agreement you sign with HANS, and a contract under Art. 28 GDPR is in place with the provider. Processing stays in the EU. Guests see on every answer that they are writing to an AI, and contact details only come in through a form with consent.
Ask Hansi your guests' questions.
We activate the module for your property, and in the test chat you ask Hansi the questions that usually arrive by email. Then you see for yourself how he answers.
