The digitalisation grant in South Tyrol.

What the Province funds.

Under the programme “Initiativen zur Unterstützung der Digitalisierung von Kleinstunternehmen 2025–2028” (support for the digitalisation of micro-businesses), the Province of South Tyrol pays 60 % of eligible spending when a business introduces digital technology. Buying software licences is named explicitly.

Spending per application must be between €2,000 and €15,000, so the grant is €1,200 to €9,000. It is EU de minimis aid and counts towards the total of such aid your business may receive over three years.

Who can apply.

Micro-businesses whose main activity is in South Tyrol, in tourism as well as crafts, trade or services. Under the EU definition, a micro-business has fewer than ten staff and no more than €2 million in annual turnover or balance sheet total.

That covers many B&Bs, guesthouses and small family hotels. The business must be entered in the company register of the Bolzano Chamber of Commerce, as a sole trader or a company.

Which costs count.

Eligible are software licences, buying and adapting software, the website and online sales, training for owners and staff, and consulting. The spending must relate to the business's activity in South Tyrol.

For consulting and training, the Province wants the days or hours with their unit price in the cost estimate. A lump sum without a breakdown is not enough.

What counts with HANS.

You can submit the full HANS offer: the subscription as a software licence, plus add-on modules, setting up your property and training your team.

On request we issue the offer so that you can attach it to the application as the cost estimate: services, period and unit prices listed separately. We put the CUP, the project code, on every invoice. Without it, the Province does not accept an invoice.

How the application works.

The order matters. You get the cost estimate and send it with the application form by certified email (PEC) to the Province's tourism department. Only then does the project start. Once it is done, you file the payment request with invoices and proof of payment.

The application needs a €16 revenue stamp, which can also be paid online. Each business can file one application per year. According to the Province, payment usually follows within 60 days of the payment request.

Apply by 30 September.

The deadline applies every year, and the application has to come before the project. Invoices issued before the application are not accepted; only advance invoices are exempt. If you want to introduce HANS with the grant, file the application first.
