The guest portal.
View the booking and check in online. Without an account and without a password.
The guest portal is not a separate widget you embed. It lives in two places: as “My booking” in the booking widget on your website, and as the self check-in page the guest opens via the link in their pre-arrival email. Neither needs a customer account. The guest identifies with what they already have.

No account, no password. Booking number, email and last name are enough.
Identify instead of log in.
Booking number, email address and last name, all three together. If they match, the guest sees their booking. There is no password to forget.
Anyone who no longer has the number requests the confirmation again with email and last name. The server slows down guessing, and the reply never reveals whether a booking exists.
What the guest handles themselves.
View dates and room, see the open amount and pay it by card, request the confirmation again, download the stay as a calendar entry, receive the self check-in link by email. And, if it must be, cancel the booking.
Additional payment only covers what is open, and the amount comes from the stored booking. A cancellation requires a reason and reaches you with a notification.
Check in before the guest arrives.
Seven days before arrival, self check-in opens. The guest clicks the button in the pre-arrival email and enters the registration data: for themselves and for everyone travelling with them. Plus the planned arrival time.
Afterwards the booking in the property shows: self check-in received, with all data. The front desk reviews and takes it over instead of typing on arrival day. You switch self check-in on in the widget settings; before that there is neither link nor button.
The fields the registration needs.
Date and place of birth, nationality, country of residence, document type and number, issuing country, optionally the tax code. For fellow travellers the shorter list. Exactly what the report to province and police requires.
If your tourist association offers the South Tyrol Guest Pass, self check-in asks for consent per person. Never pre-ticked.
What it is not.
No portal with login, no app, no chat. A guest should handle their booking in two minutes and leave the page again. Anything that takes longer belongs in a conversation with your property.
How it gets onto your website.
Your agency places the widget where it should appear, like an embedded video. It becomes part of your page, scrolls with it and opens no separate window.
The embed code for your agency is in the dashboard, ready for your property.
- Accent colour, font and light or dark mode come from your property's settings. If you prefer, set them in the container.
- The language follows your page or is set in the container.
- Bookings and requests are reported to the tags your website already carries. The widget sets no cookie of its own.

Frequently asked questions.
- Do I have to embed anything extra for this?
- No. “My booking” is part of the booking widget; the self check-in page is hosted by HANS. You switch self check-in on and set how many days before arrival it opens.
- Do the check-in data go straight into the registration?
- They sit on the booking and are taken over by the front desk. The report itself goes out from the registration module as usual, after a look from the property.
- What if the guest wants to check in too early?
- Then the page says from when it is possible. A cancelled booking accepts no check-in any more.
Less queueing on arrival day.
If your guests fill in forms at the desk today, we will show you the pre-arrival email and the page behind it with an example from your property.
