The newsletter widget.
Subscribe, unsubscribe, with a confirmation email in between. The consent sits on the guest profile in the property.
Every website builder has a newsletter form. This one takes the sign-up where it belongs: to the guest profile in HANS, with date, source and confirmation. HANS sends the confirmation email itself, in your property's letterhead.

One required field.
Email address, that is all the guest has to give. First name, last name and country are optional and help later with the salutation. A text link switches to unsubscribe.
The widget fits into a footer or sidebar. It needs no page of its own.
Confirmed by email.
After submitting, the widget says: “Check your inbox.” HANS sends a confirmation email in the guest's language, from your sender. Only the click in it turns the entry into consent.
Until that click HANS stores nothing about the person. Afterwards the consent is on the guest profile with time, source and wording. If HANS already knows the address, no second profile is created.
Unsubscribing is just as easy.
Anyone who wants to unsubscribe only enters their email address and receives an email with a confirmation link. The click withdraws the consent in HANS, and from that moment no newsletter goes to the address.
The reply in the widget is always the same, whether the address was known or not. Nobody can use the form to find out who is subscribed with you.
Part of the HANS newsletter.
The widget belongs to newsletters & guest automations. Anyone who signs up here is in the guest directory after confirming and receives your next campaign, in their language.
How it gets onto your website.
Your agency places the widget where it should appear, like an embedded video. It becomes part of your page, scrolls with it and opens no separate window.
The embed code for your agency is in the dashboard, ready for your property.
- Accent colour, font and light or dark mode come from your property's settings. If you prefer, set them in the container.
- The language follows your page or is set in the container.
- Bookings and requests are reported to the tags your website already carries. The widget sets no cookie of its own.

Frequently asked questions.
- Can the guest also sign up when booking?
- Yes. The booking and enquiry widgets have a checkbox for it, never pre-ticked. There too the consent is then stored on the guest profile with source and wording.
- In which language does the guest receive the newsletter?
- In the language they signed up in. The widget passes it on to HANS, and a campaign with several versions sends each guest theirs.
- What happens if someone enters another person's address?
- Nothing, as long as the owner of the address does not click. Without confirmation there is no consent and no newsletter, and a second confirmation email to the same address goes out one hour later at the earliest.
