A channel manager has exactly one job: making sure the same thing is true everywhere. What is free, what it costs, what was booked. It sounds simple. Without one, a room is quickly sold twice. In HANS it is called the Channel Engine, an add-on module to the base package: one fixed monthly price, no matter how many portals are connected.

Portals, your own website and reception all work off the same calendar. HANS distributes availability and rates by itself, so you never maintain anything twice.
Every portal in the list below can be connected. You register HANS there as your channel manager, and we map your rooms and rates. Portals that use AlpineBits, the interface standard of the Alpine region, work too, and the South Tyrolean platforms will follow.

Your property signs its contract directly with each portal, and some portals review a new connection before switching it on.
Rates go out on their own.
Change a rate in the calendar or in the rate plan and it reaches every connected channel. You need no export, release step or second interface for it.
The same goes for stay rules such as minimum nights, arrival days and closures. They hang on the rate plan's period and travel with it.
Portal bookings land in the calendar.
A booking from a portal appears in the calendar without anyone retyping it. In the same move HANS blocks those nights on every other channel.
Changes and cancellations take the same path. What the guest changes at the portal changes in the house, and the room that just came free is back on sale everywhere seconds later.
One rate plan, many channels.
A portal needs a different rate from your website? Then derive a rate plan from the base one instead of maintaining it a second time.
The derived plan calculates its markup or discount from the base plan. Change the base rates and every derived plan follows, keeping the gap.
Catch overbookings early.
HANS keeps count of how many units are available each night and speaks up before it gets tight. If you prefer, hold back a buffer deliberately.

Portals with an AlpineBits interface can be connected as well, and the South Tyrolean platforms will follow. Which ones apply to your property, and what each requires, we tell you before you start.
- What if a portal is briefly unreachable?
- The transmission moves into a queue and is retried once the portal is back. Nothing is lost, and the log shows you what went out when.
- Can I pause a portal temporarily?
- Yes. Every connection can be paused without deleting it. The settings stay in place, only nothing goes out and nothing comes in.
