The voucher widget for your website.
A voucher is bought at 11 pm on 23 December. Nobody in the house should have to get up for it.
The voucher widget is a voucher shop that sits inside your own website: the guest chooses, pays and downloads the voucher as a PDF. It is redeemed in the house, on the bill, at check-out or in the spa, in parts too. Behind it is the HANS voucher system with product range, number sequence and redemption record.
The range.
Categories and products with pictures, as you create them in HANS: a value voucher with a free amount between minimum and maximum, or a service voucher for a weekend, a dinner, a treatment. The validity is shown.
Products can sit behind an unlock code, for staff or a campaign, say. Whoever has the code sees them; nobody else does.
Order and pay.
Choose a design, set amount or service, name and email, recipient and a personal message. Then card or bank transfer. With card, the payment runs through your own account with the payment provider, straight to your bank account.
With bank transfer the order is created immediately, and the voucher becomes valid as soon as you record the receipt. The page shows amount, account holder, bank and reference.
The voucher is a PDF.
After card payment the voucher number appears on screen with the download button next to it. The same goes to the buyer by email, with a link rather than an attachment, so the voucher can still be downloaded up to date later.
The PDF carries your motif and brand colour, the message, the value or service, the voucher number as a QR code and the validity. It is generated fresh on every download.
Redeemed where the guest pays.
On the stay bill, at check-out or for a spa treatment: the front desk scans the QR code or types in the number. The amount is deducted, any remainder stays on the voucher.
HANS tells you right away whether a voucher is paid, already redeemed or cancelled. Every redemption appears in the voucher's history with the stay or treatment and can be reversed there. A service voucher is redeemed as a whole, a value voucher in parts.
Sell at the front desk too.
A guest asks for a voucher on the phone? You create it in HANS and send a payment link. As soon as it is paid, the voucher is valid and goes out by email.
For promotions, competitions or as a small apology you can also issue vouchers without payment. They follow the same number sequence, get the same PDF and are redeemed the same way.
Requirement: the add-on module.
The widget belongs to the Vouchers add-on, the voucher system in HANS: product range, number sequence, PDF, redemption and sales at the front desk. You do not need a separate voucher shop next to it.
How it gets onto your website.
Your agency places the widget where it should appear, like an embedded video. It becomes part of your page, scrolls with it and opens no separate window.
The embed code for your agency is in the dashboard, ready for your property.
- Accent colour, font and light or dark mode come from your property's settings. If you prefer, set them in the container.
- The language follows your page or is set in the container.
- Bookings and requests are reported to the tags your website already carries. The widget sets no cookie of its own.

Frequently asked questions.
- Can a guest cancel a voucher?
- The widget has a cancellation form: voucher number, email and a message. You trigger the refund with the payment provider; HANS notes the cancellation on the voucher.
- Can the guest redeem the voucher online?
- The booking widget has no field for it. Vouchers are redeemed in the house, on the bill, at check-out or in the spa, so partial amounts and services are settled cleanly.
- How long is a voucher valid?
- As long as you set on the product, in months or unlimited. The validity is printed on the PDF and shown in the widget.
- Do I need a separate voucher shop for this?
- No. The widget is the shop: it sits in your website, carries your colours and font and pays out to your account through your own payment provider. It is embedded with two lines of code.
How many vouchers do you sell in December?
