  • Personal support

A PMS (property management system) is the program in which a property keeps its rooms, guests, prices and invoices. HANS is developed and supported in South Tyrol, for properties that report here, invoice here and work in more than one language.

A day with HANS.

An ordinary Tuesday in a fourteen-room guesthouse, from breakfast to the overnight report.

  1. 07:30Today's arrivalsToday's arrivals are in the overview. The daily check shows which guest is still missing a detail for the report.
  2. 10:15Booking from Booking.comThe booking sits in the calendar without anyone typing it in. The nights are closed on every other channel.
  3. 14:00Enquiry from MunichA guest asks for the double room Enzian in August. HANS replies with the offer for exactly that, using your templates.
  4. 16:30Check-in at the tabletThe guest enters their own details, and they are in the system, for the report too. If the Guest Pass is enabled for your property, HANS activates it right there.
  5. 02:00Night runProvincial report, Alloggiati Web and tourist tax run from the same data. In the morning there is a receipt for every transmission.

Hotel software or PMS – what is the difference?

None. “Hotel software” is the everyday word, “PMS” the industry’s abbreviation for property management system. Both mean the program in which a property keeps its rooms, guests, prices, invoices and official reports.

If you keep bookings in a spreadsheet, type reports into a portal and write invoices in a third program, you are working with three separate tools. Hotel software replaces them with one. For a property in South Tyrol, the provincial report, tourist tax and Guest Pass belong in it too.

One PMS for the whole property.

HANS bundles what a property needs every day: occupancy calendar, Channel Engine, direct bookings, guests, correspondence, official reporting and payments. One system instead of several separate tools, built for guesthouses, B&Bs and hotels.

Provincial report, tourist tax and Guest Pass run in the same system. Nobody switches programs or portals to use them.

  • Occupancy calendar

The occupancy calendar at the centre.

Bookings move with the mouse: extending means dragging the edge, a new booking is drawn across the free nights, a room change is a pull up or down.

More about the occupancy calendar ›
  • Channel Engine

    Every portal on one calendar.

Bookings from Booking.com, Airbnb and Expedia land straight in the calendar, and HANS blocks the nights on every other channel. Prices and availability go out by themselves.

More about the Channel Engine ›
  • Direct bookings

Direct bookings through your own website.

Enquiry, booking flow, price calendar, availability, last minute and newsletter go onto your site as widgets, in your property's design and embedded with two lines of code.

    More about direct bookings ›
  • Correspondence

    The enquiry becomes the offer.

If a guest asks for a specific room, HANS answers with an offer for exactly that room, in the guest's language and with your templates. If it is taken, with fitting alternatives.

  • Terminal

    Any device becomes a terminal.

An existing tablet at reception takes over guest card and invoice: the guest enters their own details, and what they enter is immediately correct in the system, for reporting too.

Reporting the way South Tyrol requires it.

The daily report to the regional portal, the police report to Alloggiati Web and the tourist tax run overnight from the same data. In the morning there is a receipt for every transmission in the system.

Both routes come ready-configured in HANS. If a guest is missing a detail the authority requires, the daily check shows it while the guest is still in the house.

The Guest Pass runs alongside.

If the Südtirol Guest Pass is enabled for your property, HANS activates the cards at check-in from the stay. You don't need a second portal for it.

Everything it needs is already in the stay: arrival, departure, the people in the room. HANS passes it on, and nobody at reception types a second time what is already in the system.

AI assistant

Hansi is at home in South Tyrol.

Hansi answers guest questions in the chat on your offers and on your website, even when reception closed hours ago. A guest from Milan gets an answer in Italian. He knows the local tax in your offer, and he has read what your website says about the Guest Pass, the ski bus or Törggelen.

He checks free rooms and prices with HANS every time. Discount requests and complaints go to your team.

More about Hansi

Everyone in their own language.

HANS can be operated in German, Italian and English. Offers, confirmations and the pre-arrival email go out in the guest's language.

The widgets on your website (enquiry, booking, price calendar, availability) speak the visitor's language too. A property with a German-speaking reception and Italian-speaking service staff works in the same system, everyone in their own language.

Support from South Tyrol.

When something is stuck, you reach a person in South Tyrol: by phone or email, in your time zone.

No ticket system, no hold queue. Product questions, brief assistance, bug fixes and all updates are included in the price. We never send you a bill for those.

Frequently asked questions.

Is hotel software the same as a PMS, and do I need one?
The same, yes: PMS stands for property management system, and what is meant is the hotel software that keeps a property's rooms, guests, prices, invoices and reports in one place. As soon as those live in separate programs today, it pays off.
Do I need a separate channel manager?
No. The HANS Channel Engine takes care of that, as a module in the same system and without a second program. Booking.com, Airbnb and Expedia are live-connected; the South Tyrolean platforms follow over the same connection.
Does HANS work for properties outside South Tyrol?
Yes. The police report via Alloggiati Web applies across Italy; which regional portals and which tourist tax apply to your municipality is something we settle during setup, and we configure the access along with it.
Is there funding for the hotel software?
For micro-businesses, yes. Through its digitalisation grant, the Province of South Tyrol pays 60 % of the cost of software licences, including HANS. The application has to be filed by 30 September and before the project starts.
