The Trentino Guest Card comes from the stay.
With the Guest Card your guests ride buses and trains across Trentino and get into museums and castles. HANS issues it from the details already in the stay, and the guest activates it in the Mio Trentino app.
This page explains how it works in HANS and what you set up for it. Further down you'll find the questions guests ask at reception about the Guest Card, with the answers.
What the Trentino Guest Card is.
The Trentino Guest Card is Trentino's guest card. Your guests receive it with a stay at a participating property, free of charge and for the whole holiday, up to 20 days.
It can't be bought. Trentino Marketing runs it, and only properties taking part in the programme may issue it. Some valleys add their own valley card with extra services.
What the card opens up for your guests.
Buses and trains across Trentino, as long as departure and destination are both in Trentino. Plus free or reduced entry to more than 60 museums, 20 castles and palaces and over 40 other attractions.
More than 60 activities come at a lower rate, along with guided tours and tastings at wineries and local producers. Even the Arena di Verona and the Achille Forti gallery in Verona let cardholders in free. The app shows which partners currently take part.
In Trentino, it all runs through the app.
The Guest Card lives on the phone. The guest downloads the free Mio Trentino app, signs up with the email address the code was sent to, and the card is right there in the app. That's also where they validate bus and train rides.
The app shows connections and timetables, suggests hikes, bike routes and events nearby, and books guided tours and tickets. Best to point your guests to it in the booking confirmation already.
How it works in HANS.
You issue the card with one click on the stay. If you like, HANS does it right at check-in. Trentino Marketing emails the code to the guest, to the address of the lead guest.
One card covers the whole travel party, from arrival to departure. HANS takes name, origin and the children's ages from the guest form. If a date of birth is missing, a short form goes out and the guest completes the rest in the app. Check-in never waits for the service: if it doesn't answer, HANS tries again on its own shortly after.

Trentino Guest Card or valley card.
If your property also issues a valley card next to the Trentino Guest Card, such as the DoloMeet Guest Card, you choose in HANS which card normally goes out. On the stay you can switch before issuing, when a guest should get the other one.
Some cards carry an attribute: the number of days the guest may use the facilities. You set it to match your offer; HANS never works it out from the nights. Which cards your property may issue today, HANS asks the service every time.
Card for this stay
You see the status in the stay.
The stay shows the card with its code, the people on it and when it was issued. If the party extends or someone joins, HANS shows that the card no longer fits, and “Renew card” issues a new one.
If a party doesn't arrive, you deactivate the card with one click. If you reopen a check-in, HANS deactivates it itself. You can issue a deactivated card again later.

What you need.
Your property needs an account for Trentino Marketing's portal ricettivo.guestcard.info. You sign in with it once in HANS and grant access. HANS stores no password for it.
The guest's name, origin and email address go to Trentino Marketing. A sentence about it in your privacy notice is enough; no consent is needed. In HANS the Guest Card belongs to guest reporting and so to the base package.
One portal less.
Issuing the Guest Card on ricettivo.guestcard.info today means typing every travel party in a second time. With HANS the card comes from the stay that reception creates anyway.
What guests ask about the Guest Card.
- How much does the Trentino Guest Card cost?
- Nothing. It comes with a stay at a participating property and can't be bought on its own. Buses and trains are free with it, as are many museums and castles; other tickets and activities are reduced.
- How long is the card valid?
- For the whole stay, from arrival to departure, up to 20 days. HANS takes the dates from the stay.
- How does the guest activate the card?
- In the Mio Trentino app, for iPhone and Android. The guest signs up there with the same email address the code was sent to, and the card links to their account on its own. If no email arrives, check the spam folder and the address in the stay.
- Does every child get their own card?
- No. One card covers the whole party at the same property, children included. Minors can only use the services together with an adult.
- Can travel companions use the card on their own phones?
- Yes, adult companions who are on the same card. Whoever activated the card first in the app has to agree to sharing it.
- Is the card valid on buses and trains?
- Yes, on buses and trains as long as departure and destination are both in Trentino. The guest validates the ride in the app. Routes that start or end outside Trentino aren't included.
- And without a smartphone?
- For buses and trains there's a paper ticket on request, at the property or the tourist office. It's validated on the bus or at the station. For museums and activities the app remains the easier way.
- We're staying longer. Is the card still valid?
- If the departure or the number of people changes, HANS shows in the stay that the card no longer fits. With “Renew card” reception issues a new one, and the guest gets a new code by email.
What the card includes and how long it's valid is set by Trentino Marketing. The current version is on the official page: visittrentino.info
